Mount Rushmore
That concludes South Dakota. Its a hidden gem just marred by expensive airfares. But if you can look past that, these destinations are worth hitting. Custer Park I feel was the best of the bunch. Badlands is really nice and worth the check-out, though it is an hour drive from Rapid City. Mount Rushmore is, perhaps, the huge reason why you would visit SD in the first place. Crazy Horse memorial has been in the works since 1949. Maybe in a hundred years it will be completed but anyone living today will most likely not live to see it. Take care folks. See you in Vegas!
