Hau'ula Loop Trail First hike of August! Oahu Hikes 8-1-21

First hike of August with the meetup.com crew! Let's get started!

There are a few lookouts that will net you some nice views.

Best view

There is an area where there is a red rocky terrain. Hike up and this is your best view to capture the Ocean. Just watch your step.

Going back

There is another trail- the Ma'akua Ridge- Papali trail to the left before you enter the Hau'ula trail. Will probably try it next time. The last two pics is your indicator on where the hike entrance is. You need to go through a bunch of people's houses so just be wary of cars passing you by and be respectful of the people that live there. There is some street parking in there but it's recommended you park at the beach. Thank you Jesus for a nice, safe hike. Mahalos and see you next time.

Today in Oahu, Hawaii 6/30/20: Laie Point Sea Arch, Sunset Beach, Sharks Cove, Laniakea Beach, and Haleiwa Alii Beach.

There is a story behind this but I won't divulge into it. You can look this up online. I finally got a chance to check this place out. A very nice scenery with a small parking lot. Also folks, try to park in a fashion where others can park and enjoy the view as well. There was a car that literally, in a sense, double parked (took up lots of space) forcing me to nearly park near an edge. Please be courteous to others. We want to enjoy the view and grab memories as well. Fairbanks, Alaska 3/6-3/9

Here was the ender to my trip before my return to HNL. First time to Alaska and hopefully it won't be my last. Santa Claus House Possibly the best place to shop for gifts if you are near here. It's about 20-25 mins south of Fairbanks. Antler Arch The museums here are free. Take advantage. The arch was close by as well. Ice Museum Fairbanks $15. Good for family, couple, or group pics. Regardless, there is a slide here that is worth the admission. Around the area, there is a Moldovan restaurant named Soba. It was my first time and worth the try! Pioneer Park Closed during these times, its a neat touristy spot to walk your legs. You can walk inside but most shops and attractions are closed however. Come during summer. Pikes Waterfront Lodge This was the place where I initially wanted to stay at first but Airbnb often provide cheaper results. The Love Alaska sign is here and there are some ice sculptures as well. Makiki Valley secret waterfall Oahu hikes

Because it's considered a secret I can not divulge how to get there. If you recognize some of the landmarks in my pics, then it should be good enough to tell you where it is. The waterfall is found in Makiki Valley loop trail so good luck. It is roughly about 20-30 mins in from the entrance. I did this with the meetup.com crew. So enjoy the pics. If you find it then good for you. And remember to keep it a secret. The waterfall Enjoy. It's a nice scene if you do find it. You can hike to the top of the fall in which I did.
