Another day in Hawaii-Nei 8/11/20 Murals in Oahu.

Well, since hikes and most of the beach (non-swimming) are out of the question. I tried to go the non-Kaka'ako areas to take pics of murals though I ended up going to Kaka'ako for a little bit to scope out my next mural adventure. Without haste, lets get started.

Before I start, copyright and credit are given to the respective owners of the murals/paintings. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your pieces of art. I'll also do my best to address the locations as best as possible for those interested.

Mural #1

Location: 939 Ke’eaumoku St, Honolulu, HI 96814.
Its the strip club 939 across Dominoes Pizza.
This one caught my eye simply because I drive around this area frequently and I saw it the other day, so I decided to inspect it up closer.

*Update Feb 2021* Apparently, the girl's chest in the painting is whited out now if you decide to sojourn into this area. What a way to ruin some art, really. Kinda ironic when it's still a stripclub.

Mural #2

Location: 1500 South King St, Honolulu, Hi 96826.
Right across the On Dong Restaurant. This place used to be Bait clothing store.
I just randomly found this one.

*Update April 2021, these arts are no longer here as well since the store re-opened.*

Mural (s) #3

Location: Kapiolani Blvd, Pi'ikoi and  Hopaka/Kona St.
This is right adjacent to Egg's and things Ala Moana. Its the same area where there is Thrills, Teapresso, and Ichiriki.

Murals # 4

Location: Hopaka/Pensacola and Kona/Pensacola St.
This is the same area where mural(s)#3 are located but more towards Pensacola street where Menya Le Nood is.

Mural(s)# 5

Location: Pohukaina St. (Pretty much behind of Fishers Hawaii)

I wasn't going to do here except to see how far the Kaka'ako street arts extend. To my surprise, there was no cars parked here so I took the opportunity to take empty street pics.

Mural #6

Location: Waimanu St and Ward Avenue.

There is a Jack in the Box next to here literally.

I was at a full stop here and I was, like, why not? Your former president.

That's it for now. Next time I will try to focus more on Kaka'ako area. Toodles. Thank you Jesus for keeping me safe.

Today in Oahu, Hawaii 6/30/20: Laie Point Sea Arch, Sunset Beach, Sharks Cove, Laniakea Beach, and Haleiwa Alii Beach.

There is a story behind this but I won't divulge into it. You can look this up online. I finally got a chance to check this place out. A very nice scenery with a small parking lot. Also folks, try to park in a fashion where others can park and enjoy the view as well. There was a car that literally, in a sense, double parked (took up lots of space) forcing me to nearly park near an edge. Please be courteous to others. We want to enjoy the view and grab memories as well. Sunset Beach     A shot under the tree A shot under the tree: the opposite direction   As you enter the beach, to your right is the famous 100 year old tree that everybody sits and takes a pic with despite a sign telling you to not sit on it. Fairbanks, Alaska 3/6-3/9

Here was the ender to my trip before my return to HNL. First time to Alaska and hopefully it won't be my last. Santa Claus House Possibly the best place to shop for gifts if you are near here. It's about 20-25 mins south of Fairbanks. Antler Arch The museums here are free. Take advantage. The arch was close by as well. Ice Museum Fairbanks $15. Good for family, couple, or group pics. Regardless, there is a slide here that is worth the admission. Around the area, there is a Moldovan restaurant named Soba. It was my first time and worth the try! Pioneer Park Closed during these times, its a neat touristy spot to walk your legs. You can walk inside but most shops and attractions are closed however. Come during summer.  Pikes Waterfront Lodge This was the place where I initially wanted to stay at first but Airbnb often provide cheaper results. The Love Alaska sign is here and there are some ice sculptures as well. I say this is the hotel that is worth a see if you are here. My ...

Makiki Valley secret waterfall Oahu hikes

Because it's considered a secret I can not divulge how to get there. If you recognize some of the landmarks in my pics, then it should be good enough to tell you where it is. The waterfall is found in Makiki Valley loop trail so good luck. It is roughly about 20-30 mins in from the entrance. I did this with the meetup.com crew. So enjoy the pics.  If you find it then good for you. And remember to keep it a secret.  The waterfall Enjoy. It's a nice scene if you do find it. You can hike to the top of the fall in which I did. It's like several minutes if anything from the bottom. Just always watch your footing. Take care folks. Thank you God and thank you to the meetup.com crew. Laters.
